Speich has been operating in the maritime and nautical sector since 1938, when the first clear view screen was patented. Over the year the company has specialized in production of the high quality windscreen wiper systems specifically for marine environment, according to strict reliability and durability criteria. Production flexibility and experience have allowed the company to specialize in producing made to measure system and their success is confirmed by the popularity of Speich windscreen wipers world-wide.
Speich exports over 70% of its production all over the world and is an official supplier of Italian and foreign Navy. In 1995, alongside its production for professional use, the company added a range of windscreen wipers called “Speich Nautic”, specially designed for small crafts. In 2010 , Speich designed a innovative system of wiper called DCS which can be interfaced with integrated bridge system by CAN BUS port DCS System is the most advanced wiper system available for marine windscreen wiper range.

The pantograph and pendulum wiper systems of Naval line are custom made and designed to ensure:

The straight-line wiper systems of Naval line are designed to ensure:
- perfect visibility even under the worst weather conditions, because of a high cleaned area percentage (up to 85%) ;
- reliability to operate in extreme marine conditions;
- several adjustments to be made while installing in order to fit also to irregular windows.
SPEICH clear view screens are a traditional product made with great attention to detail; its design fulfils ISO 3904-1990 rules. They are used on a wide variety of boats, from merchant ships to military vessels. Clear view screens work on the simple principle to keep free from rain, splashing water and snow a glass disk by putting it in fast rotation. The motor is placed in the center and is fastened to the fixed glass in order to obtain the largest possible sight field. The rotating glass is hardened and optically rectified to avoid any optical distortion. All metal parts are made of brass. A specially designed manifold between the ring surrounding the rotating glass and the fixed frame keeps water from entering the space between the fixed and rotating glass; this space can optionally be heated by electric resistance to avoid condensation and ice formation, which could prevent proper operation
